because I'm tired of getting upset when something in the fandom I'm in doesn't go how I want it to.

It happened with Sonic games. I don't think I need to list what went wrong here.

It happened with Naruto and the Jinchuuriki. I don't think they should have been killed off, and I think Naruto was a hypocrite for not doing anything about it. The manga took a direction that it got to the point that I hated all the main characters and their Protagonist Centered Morality.

It happened with One Piece. While I'm still a huge fan, I still heavily dislike how Oda handled Fishman Island by making Fishmen supremacists the villains once again, and pretty much proving the "evil and stupid" stereotype true with fishmen.

It happened in MLP, I still watch it happily, but Discord is my favorite character, so it sucks he got stuck in stone instead of showing up once in a while to play pranks.

It happened in the Metroid games in Other M, when badass bounty hunter Samus was turned into a sexist parody of herself. That and Ridley should be fucking talking like the intelligent sentient creature that he is.

It happened in Super Mario Bros. games because fuck Mario, Bowser is a lot more awesome and more of a likeable character, and for some reason they still haven't given him his own game.

It happens pretty much in any book/anime/videogame involving dragons. They're never portrayed in a way I want them to be. They're either evil, animals, or sentient creatures that are somehow okay and even happy with being enslaved by humans.

The list goes on.

So it got to a point where I just said

FUCK IT

Instead of feeling bad when things in stories I'm interested in don't go the way I want it to and waste time complaining on the internet about it, I'm going to write and work on a story where the plot is going to be what I want. The themes are going to be themes I'm interested in. The characters I think are awesome are going to be awesome and do awesome things.

Then it'll be the turn of my fans to whine and complain when something goes the way I want it to, and not the way they want it to. And I'll just laugh and sit back and say "I was just like you."
